“Venus in Fur” by David Ives

The theater group “Solo for Three” continues intensively the tests of the work of the American writer David Ives “The Venus with Fur”.

The play’s premiere is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 at the Chora Theater.

“Venus with Fur” takes place in present-day New York. Thomas Novacek, writer and director, has adapted Leopold Sacher – Masoch’s classic sadomasochistic / erotic novel, Venus in Fur (1870), which is the story of an obsessive extramarital affair between a man – Severin von Kushemski – and his mistress – Vanda Dunayef – to whom he swears eternal submission.

Thomas is desperate to find the actress to play the role of Vanda, the protagonist of the play he has adapted. Unexpectedly, at the last minute, an equally desperate actress, strangely named Vanda, arrives late for an audition…
